ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Adult Education and Literacy Program is the perfect place for adult learners seeking to enhance their career prospects, language proficiency, and life skills. Our catalog features an extensive range of free courses that are regularly updated and tailored to meet the ever-evolving needs of our community with year-round registration.

We offer three primary programs: English as a Second Language (ESL), High School Equivalency (HSE/GED) preparation, and Integrated Education and Training (IET). Regardless of your objectives, our program is designed to assist you in achieving your goals, whether it is improving your language skills, earning your HSE diploma, advancing your career prospects, or getting a kick start on your education. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ our unwavering support, we are confident that you can accomplish what you set out to achieve.


New Program: Fast Track GED – Finish Faster!

The Adult Education and Literacy Department is proud to introduce our Fast Track GED Program, designed for students who are ready to move quickly and stay focused. Students who score high on the baseline assessment may qualify for this accelerated program and could complete their GED in as little as 2 weeks.

This program requires:

  • Strong baseline scores
  • Commitment
  • Consistent attendance
  • Focus and motivation

New Program Announcement: IET (Integrated Education and Training)

The Adult Education and Literacy Department is excited to announce our Integrated Education and Training (IET) Program, offered in partnership with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. This program provides students the opportunity to earn a career certification at no cost while advancing their education and workforce skills.

Program Benefits:

  • Industry-recognized certifications
  • Training aligned with workforce needs
  • No cost to eligible students
  • Opportunity to improve job opportunities and earnings

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete a baseline assessment
  • Must be committed to completing the training program

Multiple certification options are available through ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Students will be guided into a certification program that matches their career goals and workforce needs.


  • The program offers GED/ESL courses at no cost.
  • IET's (Integrated Education and Training) may be funded through a scholarship grant from the program.
  • Interactive course materials are provided for virtual classroom use.
  • Classes are conveniently available during the day, afternoon, and evening hours at multiple locations such as Andrews, Kermit, Odessa, and Pecos.
  • Additional locations will continue to emerge as demand changes.
  • The Career Navigator will assist students in identifying and planning individual career plans.
