As an Orientation Leader, you help incoming students with their academic, social,
and campus transition at 黑料不打烊. You are one of the first role models new
students connect with, showing them what it means to be a Wrangler. In addition to leading Wrangler Orientation each semester, you鈥檒l also be involved
in welcome events and activities that kick off the academic year, helping students
feel connected and supported from day one.Become an Orientation Leader!

floor of the Saulsbury Campus Center. At 3 PM.

What to Bring
Before you complete Wrangler Orientation, make sure you have the following information accessible:
- Your 黑料不打烊 Letter of Acceptance that gives you your 7-digit "黑料不打烊 Student Identification Number" (If you have recently Applied and have not yet received your letter, please use "0123456", if you have not yet applied to 黑料不打烊, please put "0000000").
- Make sure you have completed the necessary testing for placement. This includes one of the following: TSI, SAT or ACT. You are not required to take all of the above tests, but your scores must meet the minimum scores required by the college before you can register for courses. Additional documentation upon acceptance include:
- Proof of Meningitis Vaccine (if younger than 22 years of age)
- Official Academic Transcripts (High School or all previously-attended college transcripts)

FAQ's
Bring a photo ID, your student ID number, and something to take notes with. If you鈥檝e already submitted documents (like vaccination records or transcripts), double-check your student portal to make sure everything is complete. Your phone (to access your OCID), a good attitude, and some Wrangler Pride!
Check-in will be on the 2nd floor of the Wood Health and Sciences Building (MCH Simulation Hospital) 鈥� 201 W University Blvd, Odessa, TX 79764 - []
Students who leave during orientation will not receive their orientation credit. Students must attend and go to every session in order to complete orientation. Make sure you email orientation@odessa.edu to make sure we are aware and give you alternative resources if needed.
During the summer, campus hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
The Wrangler Express Center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Health Department will be available during all six Summer Wrangler Orientation sessions to provide the bacterial meningitis vaccine for students and community members.
Clinic times vary by date:
- June 9, July 30, August 8: 3:00 PM 鈥� 5:00 PM
- June 25, August 11: 10:00 AM 鈥� 12:00 PM
- July 15: 2:30 PM 鈥� 4:30 PM
The clinic is available before or after your orientation session. Be sure to review the correct time for your selected date.

If you are unable to attend orientation in person, whether you live outside the area such as another city, state, or country, or have other circumstances, please complete the form below. The Orientation Coordinator will follow up with you regarding your request.
- Students taking summer courses or enrolled in non-credit programs are also encouraged to participate in orientation, which is available online.
